More of Us #3: Rebellion. Open Call

In the context of the forthcoming Rebellion issue, we are launching an open call to participate with visual and written content related to the issue’s concerns. More of Us will address the relationships woven by a variety of initiatives around self-organisation, collective action, social movements, activism and land struggles in the Global South from a practical approach.

As we witness a rapid global increase in militarism, autocracy, and illiberalism, we aim to elevate the local stories of collective action and solidarity-based collaboration that share tools and strategies in the fight for a better future. Our proposed theme for the next issue of More of Us is Rebellion. We are looking for stories from inside uprisings, territorial and cultural defense movements that should be more widely known, against oppression and the status quo. We seek accounts from within movements that have grown bigger than first imagined, that share some of the tools and practical actions that have been deployed against repression.

More Of Us is a publication that shares culture, critique and creativity from the global South to shift perspectives, deepen understanding, and inspire people towards collective action. More of Us emerged from a desire to connect the dots between diverse geographies with similar socio-political realities, introduce local voices to wider audiences, and build solidarity. More of Us is a collaborative project from members of Arts Collaboratory, a translocal network consisting of 25 arts and culture organizations across the globe.
